I am looking for sugestions for hunting unit 22. this is my first time hunting this area and would appreciate some advice.

Mazatzals (sp) above barlett lake hold a few big bucks, density isnt the highest though, be prepared to spend a few weekends scouting ahead of time. Mt. Ord like the other guys said is pretty good, even 4peaks, mudsprings, and the 3 bar are good choices.

....................finaly someone under stands me:D back behind the main wash where every one rides there are some trails that take you way back in there ive seen deer and thats where im going to be hunting

But seriously now, in 22 I cant think of any hot spot like I can in unit 7 or the strip, But they are all over unit 22 its just a matter of finding them. For example 2 years ago I saw two 4x4 mulies in the velvet just a stones throw off the 87 at the top of the mount Ord pass.

Mike, did you get drawn or are you looking to tag out on an OTC Archery tag? I would be willing to go up with you to do a little looking around maybe a little spottin and stalking - aww hell lets just get right down to it and say lets go harvest one. I will be in the Verde hunt area looking for an elk this weekend, i will be in Montana next weekend. But after that I am free, oh look, just in time for archery season to open.
