Neither, lest you want a huge fine, imprisonment, and loss of hunting and fishing opportunities.

That's some sick growth. Imagine the mass in August.

Dude, relax. If my reply was originally taken seriously, then you've made a mistake. Hypothetically, as you already stated, I'm pretty much assured that it is very much against the law to take any deer heavy in velvet. Maybe some early August archery hunts in some states like Utah the deer may still have some velvet, but not here my friend.

Did you miss the hypothetical question I posed in my second paragraph? They'll be monsters in August.

I have shot some bucks in heavy velvet towards the end of August in Arizona. I will not do it again unless there 190" or better bucks. Velvet is kinda weird and I prefer hard horns

Tips are pretty pointed and developed to be this years growth......I suspect they may be from last year. Beautiful looking creatures for sure. I enjoy bowhunting them in the velvet. I've arrowed them in velvet all the way through mid-September in several western states.

Nice photos by the way.....
