lets talk units (e- scout) Ive got a cow hunt in 19a . i am going to spend one weak end a month until the hunt scouting red the game and fish site and they are hinting towards lower elevations than i would think? any help out there on bagging my first elk would be greatly appreciated maybe even a bar bq and a beer :)

Dude your best bet would be spend alot of time glassing at prime time and during the middle of the day start hitting every water source looking for tracks. You can also talk with the game warden for that unit. You should have no problem killing a cow if you do your home work. good luck

Far northern part of the unit. Take 89 and just past Paulden take County 137 east and south, you'll cross the verde @ the Verde Ranch, once you cross you are back in 19A. That area holds elk year round.

Yes it is. I cant get it out of my head that the unit boundry is not I17. I have made that mistake several times before. Thanks for correcting me.
