If its by water and feed they should be pretty close if no one blows them out of there

Javelina almost always stay in the same major area. Even if you spook them out they will more often than not come right back. The chances are very good that those pigs will be there when you go on your hunt, but you always need a backup plan so locate at least one more herd and just keep on scouting.

obertin has it on the nose. If it rains again before your hunt and you have a chance to go out there look for tracks. Cover a wide area and that will let you know how many javi's are out there.

go get a product called sneaky feet from sportsmans. It is felt that has straps like sandals. That will take care of the crunch. And the otc elk tag will be the same price as all the others

Pigs are pretty easy to sneak up on but during archery deer, I wear a pair of bear's feet with only socks on underneath when trying a stalk. Get a pair that are smaller than the ones you would wear over your boots but only wear socks or even some type of slippers underneath. Sounds funny but you will be the only one laughing when you have a pig or deer hanging!

are these bear feet solid? i have very tender feet due to 20 years of stepping on nails meaning a small rock in the rite spot could tear up my eyes and stop me from walking for a good 20 mins

They are soft fleece with some fluffy shit on the bottom. You can use the other type with the straps and wear socks though and it will be alot more silent than wearing them with shoes. And remember no pain no gain! No one said this hunting stuff was'nt painful at times!
