i scouted fri and sat. found some decent bucks but, every where you look its private land or to close to housing. any info on this unit would be a great help . thanks jim

Check the regs or just call G&F to find out if hunters have been given access to some of those ranches. Also, put a smile on your face and contact the owners. Sometimes that works:D

One thing I found out from the private land is a lot of people don't ask permission. Had a tag in Sonita a few yrs back. same thing, lots of private property. Finally my buddy and I decided to jsut go ask. Low and behold the guy gave us a key. NO kill but had our shots. Give that a try. Can't hurt
